Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Injections

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy is a form of regenerative medicine where the patient’s own blood is drawn and then spun in a centrifuge machine. This separates the blood into different layers, one of which is platelet-rich plasma.

PRP is highly concentrated with the patient’s own platelets as well as growth and healing factors. The PRP is injected into the area of interest to alleviate pain and accelerate the healing process.

Commonly treated conditions include osteoarthritis, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, and other injured or degenerative joints, tendons, ligaments, or muscles.

PRP is not typically covered by insurance.
